You may wear whatever makes you comfortable underneath the gowns, but we do require underwear. If you have a strapless bra or Spanx, go ahead and bring it with you. In order not to damage the gowns, our stylist will join you in the fitting room to help you in and out of the gowns.

Can I bring a large party to my appointment?

We want your appointment at The Wedding Studio to be a memory-making experience. Our bridal suites vary in size making it possible to comfortably accommodate brides with small or large parties. *With the current global pandemic we are currently restricting party sizes to the bride and 6 additional guests on Saturdays but have more flexibility during the week for larger parties! Looking to bring more people? What sizes are your bridal gown samples? do you carry plus size bridal gowns?

Our bridal samples range from size 8 to size 30 in each location, with the majority being between sizes 10-16 and our plus size collections between 20-30. We believe that every bride deserves to feel beautiful when dress shopping so each of our locations carries a diverse range of ranges! If the sample gown is too small or too large, we clip the dress to fit your body. Please keep in mind that bridal sizes are different from everyday clothing. Typically bridal gowns run very small! Anticipate your bridal size being about two-three sizes larger than your average dress size.

When I find my dream dress, how does payment work? Are payment plans available?

We require a 60% deposit to place your order. Once your order is submitted, no changes or cancellations can be made since all orders are custom made for each bride. You are welcome to call and make payments overtime or the remaining 40% is due upon gown arrival.

When should I order my dress?

Dresses can take 4 to 7 months to produce, since it is being made to order. When you factor in shipping and alterations, it could be a twelve month total process. We suggest deciding on a dress nine to twelve months prior to your wedding date, so you have time built in for fittings and accessorizing. There are rush options for weddings under six months, but rush fees do apply. We also have an off-the-rack bridal boutique, The Wedding Loft, if you are looking to take your gown home same day.

Will I need alterations?

We like to order the dress as close to your current size as possible, but all bridal gowns need alterations to give it a perfect fit for your body. Before picking up the gown you purchase at The Wedding Studio, we suggest you contact a tailor to schedule your appointment to start the fitting process. The Wedding Studio has recommended bridal tailors so contact us for a referral. We recommend starting your alterations 2-3 months prior to the wedding date, so make sure to add this time onto the 4-7 months for gown production.

Do you do fittings in your shop?

We do not tailor in our stores, but can recommend a bridal tailor that will be sure to get you a perfect fit! We don’t have any required alterations packages, which means you only pay for what you need to have done to make your gown fit like a glove.

When should I choose my veil and other accessories?

Accessories are the icing on the cake. Our stylists are very experienced at pulling together your whole look during your bridal gown appointment. Often, seeing the whole ensemble together helps the bride say “ ‘Yes’, this is my dress!” Of course, you’re always welcomed back if you need more time to make your final decision. Keep in mind, most accessories are special order too, and while they don’t usually take as much time as a wedding gown, it can be several weeks/months.

What is a trunk show?

The Wedding Studio carries an edited selection of each designer’s collection, but trunk shows are a designated time where we will have an extended selection of a particular designer. The trunk shows only last a couple of days, and appointments fill up quickly, so we recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be visiting TWS and you want to be able to shop the whole line. Discounts apply on trunk show merchandise during the trunk show dates only.

What is a designer preview show?

A designer preview show, simply put, is the ultimate personal shopping experience. On the day of the show, the Wedding Studio will showcase the newest wedding dresses from the designer. A bride can schedule an appointment to see and try on these wedding dresses which are not ordinarily carried in her local salon. Many of these gowns are also designer show exclusives and will not be available after the event ends. At select shows, a Designer and/or Executive from the designer will be in attendance so a bride can talk with them about the inspiration, trends, and details behind the wedding dresses in the collection. Call as early as possible, as appointments book quickly.
