Tell us about your love story: “Our story is kind of long! We both were at the same university in 2019 and he played soccer. I saw him at a game and thought he was super cute, so I looked at the roster and followed him on Instagram/Snapchat, and he followed me back. And then nothing happened! We never bumped into each other or even interacted. Then, in 2020, when COVID hit, I posted a picture on my Snapchat story, and he responded to me with a super corny line about thinking my eyes were super pretty. And we haven't stopped talking since! We met later that summer in person and officially started dating.

In 2023, he was living in Germany to play soccer and came back to the States for Christmas. We were in Indy for a few days visiting my family and we planned a date day because we hadn't spent much time just us while he was home. We ran errands, went shopping, had lunch, went bowling, and then ended up back at our university for a walk because it was super nice out for December. All of a sudden, he was on one knee proposing! I was totally shocked. I would've put money on the fact that it was going to happen the next year in the summer at the beach, but he proposed at the school that brought us together in the winter. It was perfect.

He was totally in awe when he saw me in my dress! He didn't even want to see pictures of the other dresses I tried on before the wedding. He was adamant about wanting to only see me in MY dress. He was speechless. When I eventually showed him the other dresses I tried on, he agreed that nothing compared to what I chose.”

Words of advice for future brides: “I am such an anxious person, yet somehow, the morning of my wedding, I was the MOST calm I've ever been in my life. There was nothing that could bring me down. My advice is that even if you're someone who has trouble letting go of control or has bad anxiety, trust the fact that even if everything in the world goes wrong, nothing can ruin marrying your best friend.”

Share about your TWS experience: “I had the best experience at TWS Carmel! Jess was incredible. I never felt rushed. I felt listened to and loved that there was communication/prep beforehand because it made the whole process feel more intentional. The whole team, the day of picking out my dress, and even picking it up, and later just picking up my veil, made me feel so beautiful. Truly the best hype crew.”

Describe/gush about your wedding dress and how you knew it was the one: “I am typically a very picky person and doubted whether I would feel the "this is the one." But I did! I knew my dress was the one because the second I put it on, I didn't want to take it off. There was also NOTHING I wanted to change about it, which was huge for me. It was also insanely comfortable. I had a second dress as a backup, just something I picked up at the mall in case I got hot/overstimulated and wanted to change, but I never even took it out of the bag the day of! I wore my dress the whole night and was even sad when I had to take it off that night to go to bed. I'm bummed I don't have another occasion to wear it”

Share a special moment(s) from your big day: “One thing that really sticks out is the first look with my dad. He isn't typically a super emotional guy, but he was crying the whole day! The first look, though, was just so special. Also, my husband and I did a last dance together at the end of the night, and it just felt like a great way to end our day just the two of us.”
